About Deborah Pender

When I was 16rys old, my first real job was working in the pharmacy of a Liggett’s Drug store in Orlando, Florida.  My father knew the pharmacist and I got the job.  From that point on, I have always been in the medical field.  Managing drug stores & pharmacies, to becoming an administrator to physician offices.  Everything I did was related to insurance.

When I left corporate America I was not sure what I wanted to do.  I put my resume out and found an ad for an insurance company and when I got there the job was for an agent to sell insurance products.  I thought, why not, I certainly had the knowledge.  I first worked for a captive company selling only their product but quickly learned that people must have choices.  Everyone has their own unique situation and I had to have options.

Just like many of you, I have a family and we have had to deal with broken arms, stitches, sickness. etc.  Heck my father-in-law had a heart transplant.  Dealing with the insurance companies on that was an experience to say the least!  I love helping people, I love educating people, I love the stories they tell, I listen and I become a friend.  And that is why I do what I do.
